Good morning Tekrider (pictures below)
"You saved my life"
I purchased a Tek Vest Super Sport for myself as a Christmas present. This past Saturday, 11 Feb 06, I was snow machining with a number of friends near Petersville, Alaska. I didn't know the area, and we were playing in the deep powder. I was riding a Ski-Doo 800 and climbed up what I thought was a short hill, intending to stop at the top to look around. As soon as I got to the top, I was airborne. I don't know how it all happened, but I raised my arms, got off the machine, and positioned myself into a sitting position.
All I really remember is thinking that it was an awfully long way down. I guess I closed my eyes. I hit two feet to the left of my machine, about 10 feet from the bottom (a large creek) on a slight slope on my back between my shoulder blades. My head slammed into the rock cracking my helmet. I slid to the bottom. My snow machine ended up where you see it in the picture. I got up and sat on the snow machine thinking that my head was really ringing in the helmet. The only thing that bothered me was the area between my shoulder blades where I hit. Once we all realized I was ok, we continued playing in the snow for an hour or so. I snow machined out Sunday, and took the day off. I got up today, Monday, and although my neck was a bit stiff, I went to the Alyeska ski resort and skied for a half day.
Had I not been wearing your vest, I would have broken my back at a minimum. The people I was with cannot believe I am not injured. I can't believe it either and I have told everyone that the only reason I am not, is because of your vest. I realize I am extremely lucky, but your Tek vest saved my life.I don't know how far it was, I'm told it was 60 feet plus or minus. It felt like it was 100 feet or more while falling.
Thanks for a great product. I can tell you that some of my friends are now believers.
